Moneify — account & data deletion

This page explains how owners of Moneify (the personal finance app from moneify.ai, including store listings labeled “moneify” or “Moneify”) can delete their account or clear stored financial data. You can finish each action inside the signed-in mobile app.

Delete your account (all data)

Use this to permanently close your login and delete the personal data we store for your user.

Steps:

  • Open the Moneify app while signed in.
  • Go to Settings (main tabs, then Settings).
  • Scroll to the account section and tap “Delete account”.
  • Confirm all prompts. When finished, your session ends and our systems begin removing your rows as described below.
  • This removes your authentication record, profile, ledger (transactions and accounts used in-app), budgets, goals, WhatsApp linkage and related automation data tied to your user — subject to backups and retention in the section below.

Clear financial data only (keep sign-in)

Use this to wipe ledger data without deleting your signup (email, Google, or Apple).

  • Open the Moneify app while signed in.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Tap “Clear financial data” and confirm.
  • This removes ledger rows: transactions, in-app accounts, budgets, goals, WhatsApp linkage and related bookkeeping metadata. Related profile fields (for example streaks and notification bookkeeping) may be reset. Your sign-in remains active.

What may be kept and for how long

After deletion we remove operational database rows promptly. Encrypted backups may retain copies briefly until ordinary backup rotation rolls them away; retention length depends on hosting configuration.

Where law or a serious dispute requires longer retention, we keep only what is necessary and delete it when the obligation ends.

Operational logs on infrastructure vendors may briefly retain technical metadata or identifiers according to those systems’ own schedules.

Deleting your account in Moneify does not delete messages you already sent inside WhatsApp or other third‑party messengers.
